Jo Chandler ranks among the best Realtors we've ever worked with, and we've purchased eight homes now as well as leased more than fifty commercial properties for businesses. We initially met with Jo to get a market analysis, telling her that we weren't ready to buy yet and to "please not pester us" as we considered our options. For the next two years, Jo waited patiently without contacting us, except to respond to our infrequent inquiries about the market. We took this as a measure of her self confidence and capability... we were not wrong.
When we called Jo and asked to look at houses, she understood our parameters and had certainly done her homework. We went out once, saw three houses, and all met our parameters. We visited two of them again, chose one, and Jo did the rest. All together, we had a contract within a couple of weeks of starting to work with Jo. She made it easy, communicating with us, the sellers' agent, the law firm, etc. In short, she is amazing!

Ashley Dotson provided exceptional service from beginning to end. She had photos taken and a floor plan drawn months before we were even able to list our property, so she was more than ready when the time came for listing. We had to move away before the house sold, and Ashley stepped right in and managed every single detail as if it were her own home. She went to the property to meet with contractors and our HOA team multiple times: painter, cleaning crew, carpet stretcher, basement contractor, general contractor, handyperson - and she went there even when there was no one to meet just to be sure things were looking shipshape for the next showing. Her experience was enormously helpful in establishing the right price and for keeping us on track when the sale took longer than hoped for. I spent considerable time researching the broker, then the agent. More than a year previous to our choosing Preferred Properties and Jo, we had a poor experience with another large local firm, so this time I spent more time looking for a good match for us.
We needed to rely on Jo's local knowledge to make sure we understood the market. She did a very good good educating us about the Asheville market. She also knew every neighborhood and every house. Most importantly she really understood what we were looking for and helped us find a great home. The seller had some issues that continued to complicate the transaction, and Jo was thoughtful and professional as she negotiated through them.
Jo was very professional, and at the same time very friendly and personable. We trusted her completely. She was always available and was very quick to run everything down.

I can't think of a single thing Tracy Dew could have done to improve our home buying experience. She listened carefully to what we were looking for, worked diligently, to find it, and wrote a contract the seller would accept, all in the midst of a pandemic and an incredibly tight housing market.
We were out of town through the process, so it was wonderful to have her professional expertise handling inspections, repairs, closing.

As an out of state investor looking for the highest cash flowing properties in Western NC, an experienced agent with local knowledge of the area (and its STR regulations) was a major concern. Tracy Dew delivered on all accounts and gave us the confidence to move quickly. She found the property, guided us during the negotiations and ultimately helped us submit the winning offer in a multiple offer situation. Tracy also went above and beyond during the various inspections as she was our eyes and ears on site while we were out of state.
