Ashley Dotson provided exceptional service from beginning to end. She had photos taken and a floor plan drawn months before we were even able to list our property, so she was more than ready when the time came for listing. We had to move away before the house sold, and Ashley stepped right in and managed every single detail as if it were her own home. She went to the property to meet with contractors and our HOA team multiple times: painter, cleaning crew, carpet stretcher, basement contractor, general contractor, handyperson - and she went there even when there was no one to meet just to be sure things were looking shipshape for the next showing. Her experience was enormously helpful in establishing the right price and for keeping us on track when the sale took longer than hoped for. I spent considerable time researching the broker, then the agent. More than a year previous to our choosing Preferred Properties and Jo, we had a poor experience with another large local firm, so this time I spent more time looking for a good match for us.
We needed to rely on Jo's local knowledge to make sure we understood the market. She did a very good good educating us about the Asheville market. She also knew every neighborhood and every house. I reached out to Tracy on LinkedIn 6+ months before we were looking to purchase. She was very responsive and assisted us in the first steps as first-time home buyers. She also recommended a mortgage lender who was excellent. This was all before we even committed to working with her or were seriously looking at homes.
Once we were at the point to be actively shopping, she sent several homes through our personalized MLS link where we were able to narrow down our likes/dislikes and view other properties we may be interested in.
She was very professional and respectful of distance during our home tours mid-pandemic. She did several live virtual tours for us via FaceTime due to us being 4+ hours away. We actually ended up buying a home we first saw on a FaceTime tour.
Once we got to the negotiating/contract phase, she explained everything clearly and in detail, and gave us time to ask questions before submitting anything. As a young first-time home buyer, I felt very confident in what I was signing because she had explained it so well.
Tracy has lived in the Asheville area for many years and is raising a family here. I highly recommend her for first-time home buyers or anyone making a long-distance move!

Tracy listened to my top property desires and was really dogged in finding the perfect house. Buying from a distance, Tracy did video walk throughs when I couldn't be there in person, advised on pros and cons of the neighborhoods I was interested in, and was honest when a property might not be ideal for my needs. She even found a honest and talented electrician and plumber for the older 1920s bungalow we bought, and has continued to be incredibly helpful even after the purchase was completed. Our family ultimately decided not to put our house on the market, and such I can't give a full proper review to describe the whole experience. However, I will provide my account for the two months we worked with Lenoir. In a nutshell she was fantastic and provided one of the best experiences I've had working with a property agent of any kind. From the very beginning she was extremely attentive to our desires and talking through what was realistic in what we wanted to accomplish in selling the house and worked with us every step of way to conduct a thorough inspection of our own and helping triage all of the necessary things we needed to fix as a result. She was also fantastic in consulting with us on what we needed to improve aesthetically to make the house show well, and after we finally completed that work, we definitely agree that she was spot on with her recommendations. Ultimately though, she just has a great disposition and was fun to work with, and had no problems at all coordinating with us irrespective of whether we were in town or if we remote and available by email only. If we do decide to list this home in the future, she is the very first person I am reaching back out to.

As stated, we were very pleased with our experience with Tracy. While we were concerned at times about not receiving offers early on, even though we had a number of showings. Her projection of possible outcomes were actually realized in our case. We felt very supported and confident in depending on Tracy's skill and knowledge.

We met LeNoir when she was an agent representing a local couple (in State College, PA) who were selling some property near Marshall. We met her at this property to look at it in person, we were very impressed by her professionalism, her warmth, and he desire to understand what we were looking for in buying some land in Madison County. When the couple decided to sell to a neighboring property owner, we resumed our search and decided to work with LeNoir as our own agent, based on our meeting and subsequent conversations with her.
We have been looking for some open land near Asheville (ranging from Hendersonville, to Waynesville, to Burnsville, to Weaverville, and finally deciding on the Marshall/Mars Hill area) since 2013. During this time we worked with three different real estate agents who worked for various firms (none for Preferred Properties). Until we started working with LeNoir in the fall of 2017 we hadn't understood how poorly those other agents did their jobs! By comparison, LeNoir showed us how a committed, professionally competent realtor is supposed to act. She took the time to learn important details about what we were looking for. When I emailed her with questions about a particular piece of land, she did research about it (including comps for nearby land sales), visited it herself, and shared her impressions and evaluations. When we met with her at several parcels during our search, she asked about what we liked and didn't like about each (none of which we wanted to buy, until the Blowhole Rd. property). When it came time for us to make an offer, LeNoir learned that another offer was going to be submitted at the same time, so she made suggestions about the price of our offer and other details to increase the likelihood that ours would be accepted over the other one. Finally, when the time came to complete all the documents associated with the offer, due diligence, requests for extensions, and closing, LeNoir handled all of these details superbly.

She clearly knows the area well; she was actually already familiar with many houses we saw, and she knows neighborhoods both in and around Asheville and can helpfully explain the pros and cons of each of them. She was consistently responsive, proactive, efficient, and friendly.
It was a "joy" to work with Joye and we really appreciate all the extra effort she put in to make the sale happen.
She helped us negotiate through a couple of tough spots during the sale, such as our own decision to change our payment methodology. We know this added extra time and work to her busy schedule, but she was happy to do it and we are very grateful.
